I co-founded a band in the nineties and aimed for a recording contract. For almost ten years, we played in the eastern US and recorded in professional studios. We made four albums and a single for an Indie label, but broke up in 1998.
The music industry left us weary, but I continued making music on my own terms. I've released two independent albums, written hundreds of songs, made two videos and I'm still going.

Ariel is not afraid to be powerful. She's not scared of being "too much" or of her creativity galloping apace like a wild horse. Rapture and release is what it's all about. Her attitude towards life is "Do it for the joy!"Ariel's sound ranges from dramatically-charged ballads to upbeat pop-rock with a bouncy 80s feel, summery and melodic. Intense cris de coeur and carefree, let-you-hair-down music that chases your troubles away.As a vocalist she has an intriguing, quirky and distinctive voice, sharp and clear euro-soulfulness, with a histrionic edge of excess that holds your attention like Kate Bush. Comparisons have been made to Heart, Grace Slick and Martha Davis.
As a performer, Ariel's presence is fierce yet vulnerable. She can equally conjure take-charge attitude and ethereal languor.
Music is like breathing, it's who I am. Every word that I sing must have meaning, whether I've written the lyric or am singing another writers words. I'm experienced in the studio & on stage, dedicated, fiercely determined, hard working & sincere about the music, the people I work with & the friends & fans that support my work. I'm loyal, never take anything for granted & value every dollar invested in me.
I'm thrilled to be on SAB & look forward to reaching 50k together with all of my supporters here!!!!!! Thank you for taking the time to read this & for coming by here to see what I'm about!
Jennifer Peterson has developed a loyal following of listeners who enjoy her honesty and ability to connect with the audience. Her live performance is powerful with bold lyrics, contagious melodies, and a song-writing style that upholds a tradition of powerful women in music like Joni Mitchell & Carole King. The musicians who tour with her are just as compelling: Randy Morris plays infectious melodies on guitar with a unique style that varies from hauntingly beautiful to quirky. Zara Zaharieva, a fiery Bulgarian, mixes styles of jazz and gypsy Jennifer has been working on a collection of fresh songs with new inspiration. She has been a regular guest singer with Lowen & Navarro and has opened for Kenny Rogers, Emerson Drive, Billy Currington, and Gretchen Wilson.
In today's musical panorama of stereotypical divas and bubble-gum pop, Jennifer Peterson fills a void. She is genuine, passionate, and shares a real connection with her audience. to create her own flavor of Americana violin.
BONNIE is a Uruguayan band, born in march 2007, when a group of old friends got together just to make good music. We started playing classic rock covers in private parties and different clubs, while working on some creations of our own. Seeing that people are taking interest in our music, we started to work hard to make more and better songs
When we found this website we did not hesitate to be a part of it as it is a one in a life time opportunity to show our music to the world and hopefully fullfil our dream of recording a top quality record.

"I sing and write because music keeps me alive. I do this because of all of the songs that have saved me. I am hoping to write a few of those songs and catch someone else who may be sinking slowly or may in fact be running toward their demise. I sing because it is eases the gap between others and myself. This job enables me to try on other people’s lives and stories and let others relate to my own. My mouth loves the feel of words. My body loves the throb and sway of music. My being knows that it is indeed connected to yours through this magical medium. And that is a pretty darn good reason if you ask me."
I was born in Krakow, although I now live with my Welsh partner Paul in the UK. I have been composing music since the age of 16, it is my lifetime passion.
I'm a 21 year old singer/songwriter from a small West Coast town in New Zealand!!!
My father is a drummer, my mother dabbles with the piano, my brother is in his 2y at Jazz School, and my extended family is also very music - so what choice did I have but to playI started out in school choirs, then into the school orchestra on percussion, and then a rock band (drums). However, I was singing at a local jam night when everyone decided that I could (actually) sing - and it all just blossomed from there.
I have been the drummer for a rock band, singer in a country band and shameless self promoter as a soloist!!! HEHE GO ME!!!Early 2007 I travelled to the Tamworth Music Festival, where I entered in the Bundaberg Rum Jazzer Quest and won Senior overall. Amazing!!!
I'm currently in the process of recording my first album over in Christchurch - bit of a travel but it will be worth it to finally have something to show the world!!! Can't wait to get the tracks up here. Will be ready for sale early Jan09 - but hopefully I can put some up well before then!

I am a 20 year old singer/songwriter from the UK.I started my songwriting career at the age of fourteen (I've been hooked ever since)When I was sixteen I was awarded a scholarship to attend a music college in London. Where I trained for three years.
After graduating I began performing live and gigging where ever I could and in March 2008, when I was performing at the 606 Jazz club in London, I was fortunate enough to meet established music producer Haydn Bendall (Sting,Kate Bush,Paul McCartney)and music manager Oxana Chiscenco. Since meeting Haydn and Oxana my life has completely changed. I've experienced many great opportunities. I have performed and worked with amazing musicians, recorded at Strongroom Studios and had the pleasure of working with Haydn Bendall himself.I also dedicate my time to helping Macmillan Cancer support. Knowing people that have survived cancer I perform at conventions, events and any charity to help raise awareness.

Aryn Calhoun began writing music at the age of 15 years old and now she just can't stop. She's thus far written, co-produced and released seven albums of her own original material. While she was interning at Word Records in Nashville she teamed up with professional producer Drew Cline to release two cutting edge tracks. Aryn is a graduate of Southwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude in Music and Communication, took a year to work for the AmeriCorps and focus on touring around Austin, Texas. My name is Sonul Badiani, I'm 21 years old and I am a very passionate singer-songwriter. I hope you like my music and lyrics...This is me, in my songs and in the compositions...it is myself exposed. The Jade Diary is an Australian band with an evolving pop-rock sound infused with lush melodies and insistent, soul-searching lyrics. It all began, in an idyllic but isolated city called Perth, when Cheryl Lim decided to form a band called Opus Red alongside Renee Sherlock and others, playing unique covers from Summertime to Sweet Home Alabama. It was fun while it lasted, but after Opus Red disbanded, the passion that Cheryl had for creating music never went away. Many songs and Kleenexes later, she decided that she would give it another go - but this time, it was not going to be another serious hobby. This time, it would mean plunging into a business well known for wannabes and near misses. A crazy idea, but it had to work. So she enlisted the help of Renee, keyboardist and songwriter, and together in November 2006, they started The Jade Diary.Consisting of Renee Sherlock on keyboard, Joshua O’Keefe as lead guitarist, Aylwin Lim, drummer, and Cheryl Lim, lead vocalist, all members share a love for songwriting.2008 is a significant year for The Jade Diary and has seen the recording of the band’s debut EP, “Landscape of Dreams”. From the surreal realms of the subconscious mind to professions of undying love, the EP is an infectious and eclectic fusion of pop, folk and rock. The songs ambitiously feature themes of melancholy, joy, desire, loneliness, and of course love. Expertly produced by Rob Agostini who has worked with Blanche Dubois, Monique Brumby and Nick Barker, and mastered by Steve Scanlon (Kate Ceberano and Diesel), the songs have been fleshed out with breathtaking harmonies and arrangements featuring ambient keyboards and guitars. As one listener said, “what's notable about The Jade Diary is their truth, honesty and raw emotion that channels through each song, and what I find is their greatest strength is that the tracks all provide an insight into the deepest emotions and feelings so many will experience in their life.”

The Akibas are a band from the South West of England. We are currently writing our album and plan to record it and tour the UK in the Autumn of 2009.We are very optimistic ! Two of the three songs above are from the current album "Queen of the South" which we recorded and self-released in 2007. The band are excited to meet "believers" and think the sellaband concept is fantastic. We have have played a flurry of shows this year sharing the stage with the hilarious Newton Faulkner and the spellbinding Kate Walsh, also an intimate show with Mark Eitzel from Americana legends American Music Club and most recently we shared a fantastic evening of music with Sellaband favourite, beautiful songstress Ellie Williams. In fact it was Ellies suggestion that inspired us to sign up to Sellaband.
